Altar and Rosary Society (SKD)

The Altar and Rosary Society is a group of men and women who were founded originally as a woman’s sodality to care for the needs of the church in caring for the altar linens and vessels.  It has evolved significantly and now serves St. Katharine Drexel Parish in two specific areas: fundraising and fellowship.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to foster the spiritual, financial and charitable well-being of the parish and extended community.

Both men and women are welcome to join the St. Katharine Drexel Altar & Rosary Society.  The Society promotes a devotion to the Rosary, recites the Rosary at funeral services upon request, and sends out Mass, get-well, sympathy cards to those in our parish and community members.  Members also assist in the care of the altar and church environment throughout the year.

Funds are raised to benefit the parish and the community in times of need through various fund raisers and activities.

Why not, my child, yourself become a missionary?”
