Welcome!

  • CCD is for students in grades 1-8.
  • Classes begin in September and continue through May.
  • First day of classes for 2025: September 28th.
  • Classes are held at St. James Church in Pleasant Mount for both St. Katharine Drexel Parish and Ascension Parish (of Forest City) and start at 9:45 am and end at 10:45 am.
  • First Holy Communion is typically received in the second grade year.
  • Preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation is a 2-year program.  It is usually started in the 7th grade year and completed at the end of the 8th grade year.
